As taking cover pictures was removed in v2.0 this issue is no longer relevant. If anyone would like to see the option to photograph covers please create another feature request.

Thanks for the suggestion @felysu I need to rethink the whole process of getting books from Open Library as I had some workaround for displaying editions not in english language....

This should be fixed in v2. You can choose editions of books when adding a new one.
