Thinking it over some more, maybe `timeout` should have a sane default and be in "Advanced Configuration". I don't think most people would need or want to touch timeout.

Reopening this issue as there still are a fair few inconsistencies around string use in our docs. A fair few default values and example code use single-quotes instead of double-quotes.

I'm also in favor of this change, though I imagine this should be a breaking change, with users' prompts changing from beneath them. Are we prepared for a breaking change...

Things have likely changed in the year that this PR has been open. I'm happy to revisit and fix up this PR once I get confirmation from project maintainers that...
