Please deactivate typing mode from the preferences. Use the quick start presets, if you cannot find the option, and select Screencast preset.

Please go to the typing mode options... In the first tab, general, change "time to resume typing mode". Maybe it's what you need, and OSD display time. Best regards, Marius.
