Have you thought about using [Primus](https://github.com/primus/primus) with [primus-cluster](https://github.com/lemonde/primus-cluster)? From what I've heard this is the real deal when it comes to scaling.
I'd suggest checking out https://github.com/electron/update-electron-app
Yeah, it's pretty damn retarded that Microsoft demands you buy a CSC.. 🤦 But yeah it's sweet that it works out of the box with Github repositories.
