Your idea is an excellent, in a form I hate this repetitious task, as WU always reports different count of updates than reality says.

In my case pip argument requires a string not a hash, so no way to use workaround.

I'll be watching closely this issue and a possible fix, as your plugin is amazing, used by me all the time, but Live Preview cracks TOC the way you presented
