Possible workaround: - make sure you use LUKS2 - open the device once with `cryptsetup luksOpen --allow-discards --persistent` (I haven't tested this, so please confirm here if it works)

It works for me. I know this is a stupid answer but maybe it helps to know that some Daikin ACs work. My remote has a sticker on the back...
