By default Magento 2.4.6 use Opensearch when installed.

ok, looks like right now magento 2.4.6 not working with elasticsearch 8 there is no such module, probably going to OpenSearch...

right now installed elasticsearch 8.6 with --search-engine=opensearch enable authentication with disabled ssl... again magento "A feature, not a bug" approach...

There are many problems with the new version of the elastic search engines. You need to update the magento lib manually. I still recommend using the elasticsearch version 7.17
