When updating codebase, it happens that Cline assumes file does not exists without checking it and writes new file, ignoring its previous content, that is destructive.

"read the file before updating it" instruction fixes this as next step.

Error while using Cline with Gemini Flash 2.0

Gemini 2.0 broken today too via Open Router, and definitely not working at all via Google provider
