If I remember the Android functionality right it will buffer ~15s chunks which means the leading edge of the stream is not smooth. Would be nice to have some sugar...

When I say it's not smooth I am referring to trying to display UI controls based on the data provided by the player. The playback audio is smooth.

Will do for sure, thanks for the support. Are you familiar with the YouTube UX for scrubbing/pausing/resuming live streams? That's basically what I'm trying to copy, within reason.

Do you happen to know of any tools that allow us to see which files are importing which external packages?
