Just started having this issue myself in Firefox within the past day or two - presumed related to the latest Youtube UI changes

Looks similar to the effect of #119 - I tried the uBlock filter suggested in the comments of that issue, and while it was still able to affect the layout...

Seems to have resolved itself - perhaps the fix I applied in previous comment actually did work, just not immediately. Tenatively closing this issue for now, I guess
