Same issue here, latest Dell-provided Nvidia drivers on a Dell laptop. I only found out about WSLg this morning after the problem occurred. I don't use GUI apps that much...
I hadn't tried any GUI apps since my previous comment (2 weeks ago), so I don't know exactly when it got fixed, but the problem no longer occurs here either...
