Debugging this type of error is exhausting and often does not lead to a solution. There is definitely a need for logging that also reports these anomalies clearly.

I saw that `sftp_` functions allow `curl_options` as parameter. I'm wondering if passing the `--retry-all-errors` parameter as explained [here](https://curl.se/docs/manpage.html) would cause the function doing retry. I'll try it asap.
