Promoted Messages GUI not responsive

If I try to change my generated promoted message, hitting the Update button does nothing. Also, the "140", which I assume is supposed to change as I type, never changes....

Presumably this is because of a stock config, but it makes more sense to allow transmission - it is a digital camera on the telescope, isn't it?
