Which gradle version do you use? There is not `gradle/` in the repo so the latest gradle is used (8.3).
We need 7.3.3.
Don't you feel that this app has been discontinued? There is not commit since 2021.

There is already a `withQuickstep` flavor but it seems it can't be disabled. And there are binary deps not used by this flavor. https://github.com/LawnchairLauncher/lawnchair/blob/55bf9f239ee099a9099c6f9f2fad2302dd6b4bca/build.gradle#L379
