I don't know what all this means but it sounds pretty cool. Getting a good container going for this app is essential to overcome/mitigate its Ubuntu 14 dependency.

It sounds like you accidentally deleted r/static/css. Check the browser for the 404 and see what it says. As for 429, that is pushshift saying too many requests.

Pushshift has been all messed up lately. You can try skipping over that post/date.

Yep, it would overwrite these local disk `r` directories and mess everything up. Not worth a fix imo. Edit: you should try it, maybe it's fine but sloppy. User 'index'...
