Try disabling the icons in the parts list.

It's hard to tell without any information, my guess is it's slow loading the parts to generate the thumbnails. What do you have set for your parts library?

I mean the first line here: 

Don't add anything there. Try deleting the folder %localappdata%\LeoCAD Software\LeoCAD\cache

What's in the folder I mentioned?

Thumbnails are not cached.
