It seems there is another missing data file - baron-human.rds is no longer available at: https://scrnaseq-public-datasets.s3.amazonaws.com/scater-objects/baron-human.rds . One suggestion is to host these on figshare or similar.

For others that end up on this thread - I had a similar memory leak in version 0.8.0 and handled it by converting my data to a sparse pandas data...
