I did not try to remove the private key yet, but I can definitely say that restoring the backup fails when you never had the private key on the machine...

@dEad0r this time I tested removing the private key again, with ```gpg --delete-secret-key [email protected]```. I could not reproduce your error, everything fine.

Could this be related to https://github.com/owncloud/android/issues/2685 ? Not sure if I understand the different tokens correctly, but some refresh tokens seem to have gone missing there. So maybe that's one...
