Cryptic "incompatible language" error

I am encountering the same issue as Sarthak. OS: macOS 11.5.1 Python Interpreter: Python 3.9.5 Running against python 2.7 code.

ERROR: Failed building wheel for tokenizers, even thought setuptools-rust installed
