we'd be more likely to add it if it used the Adafruit_GFX commands but as is, its different enough - why not just keep it separate?

yeah that is not surprising, the partial code barely works and it wasnt very fun when it did :(

i think they used gxepd, a different library. good luck!

there is no ETA - any PRs are accepted but we have no plans to spend more time on it.

tbh partial updates never worked very well in this librayr. you could try gxEPD or gxEPD2!
