This occurs if `--N_importance` is not set, which essentially disables the fine network, and the checkpointing code doesn't handle this properly.

I'm also having this issue – there are occasional artefacts that pass through the video, but most of the time it's just black.

Could you please post an example of the properties that don't display properly? I do need to update the property-handling code for #15 too.
