Installing `gke-gcloud-auth-plugin` is very hard(as in too many extra deps) today as you would need to install it either via apt or install the entire gcloud SDK as described here....
GCP now supports ARM: https://cloud.google.com/blog/products/compute/tau-t2a-is-first-compute-engine-vm-on-an-arm-chip It would be nice to have multiarch images published therefore, at least for amd64 and arm64.
