That is exactly what I am experiencing. I tried deleting the cache file, downgrading the kernel, downgrading plex... none have worked so far.
It has been 2 days so far and my system is running stable again. I compiled the latest master from github on my machine and am using that binary.
Unfortunately you are right... I was just lucky reaching almost 3 days this time. Compiling the master does not do anything :-)

Just out of curiosity... which packages did you install on your system in the last weeks?
grep installed /var/log/dpkg.log should give you a list. Maybe we can find the software that interferes with plexdrive.
