I'm leaning towards option 2, since based on discussion with Dan in a meeting, option 2 is likely what we will want in the long term for integration into LLVM...

@everythingfunctional, as seen above, the `fpm install` command doesn't currently work, so perhaps you could help give clues as how to resolve this.

Also related to issue #74.

Ability to use distributed conduit, whether in the CI or not as is in the task list above, is the most important aspect of this issue.
