Yes, I too read about the new out-of-the-box feature! Luckily such a reduction should just mean removing some unnecessary pieces... you up for submitting that pull request ?

Would it be too much to ask a patch for this? I would have to install fedora on a VM or something to test this. It should be fairly straight...

As an additional note: specifying defaults also fails to process logic to hide/show other fields with an xml parsing error that you do not get when you do not supply...

It is probably only an emacs thing; and only useful until emacs gets proper ligatures itself... but it would be REALLY nice in the mean time :)
