Are you sure about the vanilla game? I just checked and all textures are filtered the same way, I even compared output images between OpenGL and Vulkan and both cases...

Thanks for the tips! resid-rs has been on my radar for a while and it's definitely something I'd like to have included for a proper SID emulation.

Adding additional image formats is beyond the scope of this project but I'll leave this open in case someone wants to tackle this.
