I logged in as a standard user. When I ran the script, it prompted me for local admin creds, which it got and then executed without errors.

Can anyone else help here?

I tried creating a docker container extending the npm container and installing crowdsec-nginx-bouncer. It didn't work. Turns out npm doesn't use nginx but openresty, wghich we don't (yet) support. But...

No, it is not scheduled. Maybe the community will contribute it. It's open source after all :-)
