It is not nice but at least a bookmark is added to the right position but I hope it will be fixed.
@Lurtzae You can try the option to open new tabs at top. I started using it because of this pinned tabs issue so that I don't need to scroll too...
I don't know how to achieve the same result as in VS Code. The horizontal position and badge count. I think it used to work. With vertical position it works...
