Would this work as an actual in car headunit?

Okay. If I only use it for navigation, could I just use mono audio?

Jump to color instead of fade

AFAIK, the fading happens in the lamp. If anyone wants to open up a MagicLight, it might be possible to reverse-engineer part of the hardware and implement jumping.
