I'd be happy for the existing file to be renamed, append .bak1, .bak2 etc to the name. Or some other scheme.

Has there been any more progress on this, and are there any specific issues that need handling? I'm especially interested in seeing the scala version in eBook form

Eclipse won't see this plugin, because the presentation compiler as used by eclipse only runs the "namer" and "typer" phases. Autoproxy-lite is so-named because it needs code that successfully type...
