What problems do you experience exactly? Is it all related to the npm dependencies of plugins not being installed because of the missing `jq`?

I think that depends, as long as you don't have plugins that need additional npm dependenies you don't need `jq`, but in order to be able to detect if there...

For the production template the issue was fixed in this commit: https://github.com/shopware/production/commit/4a0cd7c022c3971d7e8dacaa4a1ec5fa6c954f2e sadly that commit is not yet released, but it will be released in the upcoming version.

Hey @quisse, we had to [revert your change](https://github.com/shopware/platform/commit/93977b4e2b709acfd7c4824273447dca3603e473) as it broke some existing themes. @tobiasberge can explain what the issues where and how those could be fixed?

Could please provide a PR with your proposed fix? And if possible also with an unit test, that fails without that fix.
