Thanks for the pull request. Do the "useradd" changes still permit usage of the GUI?

@chazzmac As I don't personally make use of pitch-shifting this is a community-driven feature. I am happy to accept patches so that we can finish and release the gstreamer branch....

Sorry for the delay - I'm adding x86_32 build tools to the Docker container to run the commit-tests. Is there a missing grub.cfg file?

I'm not against removing it in order to bring the project forward - can we retain Windows and ideally macOS in the process?
