Currently, climr checks the bounding box of the points, and downloads the data for the box. In general, I think this works well, because with caching, data is often reusable....

Optional Raster Output

Users may want rasters, in which case it would make sense to specify a study area and desired resolution and process directly in terra instead of using the data.table approach....
