It works for me. Long press the book and select "Open with" and then Cool Reader

Did you add Cool reader to the system/config/extensions.cfg? For example: epub:@EPUB_file:_(some other apps)_,cr3-pb.app:ICON_EPUB It is not added to the applications folder because this version does not have a file browser...
