Try `npm exec -- electron-builder` instead of `npx electron-builder`
Have you tried `npm exec -- electron-builder` instead of `npx electron-builder`?
by limiting the maximum concurrency you can control both cpu and memory usage of the task
co-parallel will be faster when the array you yield is too big so the node proc would reach its limits, and it will help to ensure not too many sockets...

I'm strongly inclined to make this feel like dropbox and not be realtime, but when that's done implement the realtime thing with all the software and experience we got while...
For example realtime editing doesn't play well with revisions.
It doesn't have to be mimicry, but that kind of feature set seems right and if we support most of the features dropbox has people can just switch over.
I'd go with permanent connections for now, as we then can just use streams
