I know the name is not clear but checkout [ionic4-auto-complete](https://GitHub.com/jrquick17/ionic4-auto-complete) for a compatable and currently maintained version.

Not sure if this package is still maintained so I created https://github.com/jrquick17/ionic4-tooltips which supports Angular 2+ and Ionic 2+

I have fixed this in [an updated version of this project](https://github.com/jrquick17/ionic4-tooltips). This issue was specifically fixed along with an example added to the demo in [this commit](https://github.com/jrquick17/ionic4-tooltips/commit/5ca4beb90f5774c320e718e62e626030864dc5a5).

I have started a [new project for this and am adding this to v1.0.0](https://github.com/jrquick17/ionic4-tooltips).
