Users with disabilities have difficulties being aware of changes in the page, they will not read the tooltip as it is right now. The best way to improve this per WCAG criteria 4.1.3 is to add a role="status" to the tooltip-box. It could be made as a new attribute if you don't always want to have the role.

I created an update of this project found here.

In it, I added role attribute with a default value of status, in this commit.

I also added aria support in this commit.

I build accessibility apps so I do plan to add more in the future. Please let me know if there is more that can be done. Thanks!
