It is strange that MSVC2022 actually builds. It are the other compilers (mingw, clang) that are affected.
The unit tests now show a BadInternalError instead of ConnectionClosed. How is that better? That said, I am all in favor for returning better error codes.
The change looks good. But the CI does not complete. Can be merged when the CI is happy.
There was a CI fix pushed to 1.3 last week. Please rebase and it should run.
Looks good. Rebased on the current master to retrigger the CI run.
Thanks for this. Please provide your motivation, what is lacking in the current functionality? The CI has some red tests. They need to go green before we can merge.
