I realized the solution is to install `curl` which is not readily installed in Ubuntu Linux. After installing curl via apt-get, calcfpp worked fine.

Taking into account photometry that is possibly contaminated

I don't have a specific solution but today I came across this [paper](https://arxiv.org/pdf/2403.18941.pdf) (See Sec 2 & 3.1) which discusses how they take into account contamination in cross-matching.
