I use Avast instead of McAffee but tried disabling it and excluding the indicated folder. I tried the -NoLogo setting I tried the complete uninstall of Atom and using Chocolatey...

This didn't help (it is giving me the high cpu load too that's in the news right now so I'm going to uninstall it again)
