My feeling is that _unmaintained_ means that someone still keeps an eye on the project but they are not using it. I think _abandoned_ means that someone is not interested...
I think you are right, @cornelius. It feels to me like we should just stick with a `maintained` field for now which can be set to `yes` or `no`.
