I'm also experiencing this unfortunately.

I have a similiar issue. Not sure if it is the servers fault, but the connections close at random points of time and not all files are uploaded. Maybe vynil-ftp...

Just to verify the issue: It's incredibly slow for me as well... Takes about two hours for uploading files, which can be uploaded in 5 minutes with FileZilla.
