I also notice that this occurs when beginning to enter a value that starts with the decimal point.  There's a decimal point (period) entered as the first character.

Ditto! pointer-events: none is blocking being able to set the cursor. Don't know the implications of pointer-events though.

I'd love to see this resolved as well. I've tried to style the ghosted item to be hidden but this effects the dragging item as well and goofs it up...

This is caused by the same change that made the Fund Half button disappear. I see also that the Add Custom Average Month Quick Budget feature is broken the same...
