Sputnik isn't written for Lua 5.2, it's written for Lua 5.1. It is likely there are many more changes than this that would be required to get it running cleanly...

This solves a problem that I was having elsewhere, but is going to require a significant code change and I'm not sure what the best way to manage it is....
