Try disabling settings sync and restart.

Disable the "Settings Repository" and "IDE settings sync" plugins and see if that works. Or try this keymap instead: https://github.com/ProLoser/IntelliJ-SubliMate

@saahmedm If I remap Left Ctrl to almost anything, a three finger tap brings up the "Project screen" panel (along with other actions depending on which key it's remapped to)....

Getting rid of the `Modal` component solves the problem; it doesn't appear to be related to `alwaysRenderSuggestions`.
