You are indeed correct, my bad. I had it working with 7.3.3 previously, and I'm sure I didn't use the flags I mentioned in the previous comment. From my notes...

That did the trick (exposing userfield_values_resolved's API), thanks a lot! I still think it would be useful to be able to query entities by userfields, so I'll leave it open...
