If this is a GoogleMaps SDK issue, there's probably not much the `google_maps_flutter` plugin can do here. It's possible this is working correctly on a newer version of the GoogleMaps...

It is using the Metal renderer, `setMetalRendererEnabled` is not called anywhere and it's YES by default.
