My error only occurred when not connected. Ensure you have it connected properly and wired up correctly. If that's not the problem, then I don't know. Be careful with MQTT...

Did this issue ever get resolved, as I am having this as well, with Assetto Corsa, and trying to Race with pop-ups is not that easy
