For me this has always been a very annoying aspect of the RB workflow/game in general. So basically when you become short on some item and start looking in RB...

Add pipetting factories from the "Made in" category (like in FPedia)

Title's self-explanatory. It's very useful to find a recipe you need and instantly get the factory that's making it in your cursor.

Make an option to collapse some of the categories by default as some of them are pretty chunky

Bring back the old option to see/sort all burnable fuel by fuel value (items and liquids separately in pY's case)

For examples these numbers are suppose to be seconds  and these are degrees in Celsius 

Add option to only show materials in search pane

For example if you search for Tar, on the left it'll show you a bunch of recipe icons instead of showing just one icon that'd lead you to Tar (Fluid)...

Despite FPedia being unbinded in controls alt+LMBing a recipe from the machines opens both FP and RB
