I also have this issue. It seems to only happen on the Vulkan renderer, (I switched to OpenGL and it stopped happening). I tried generating a log, but since FF-ing...

I'm 99% sure this feature broke because of 4chan vs 4channel. The 4channel boards don't get replaced by their board names, while the 4chan ones do.

It's happening to me as well on the libretro-dolphin-git package from AUR.
